What do I expect from Celtics in game 3.

1. Fast tempo offense to psychologically intimidate the heat and also catch Heat's defense not yet set.

2. Toughness on the boards.

3. Shadow doubles on Jimmy, especially in the later half of the 4th qtr.

4. Drives into the paint to put the Heat in foul trouble early.

5. Work, work and work on the referees.

6. More Tatum 1 on 1 possessions, then kick out if help defense comes.

Go Heat, Go! Let us begin to wrap this up.

I understand the disrespect coz fans will be fans but just ridiculous take on our Miami Heat's accomplishment in the playoffs

He’s a Boston sports writer and the Red Sox beat writer, so not a surprise. He’s also apparently an idiot.

Classic case of denial. He's only talking about what is on paper. He doesn't mention heart, coaching or determination.

Lots of people still disregarding Miami while facing Celts coz of the "big disparity" in talent. So in denial that they're 0-2 vs one star team and the undrafteds

Swiss knife Caleb.

Man was always unstopable on oper court and driving.. ading 3p shooting makes him lethal.

can bam guard joker hes awfully big.and great

Nobody on our team, or probably any team, can really guard Jokic.

The best defense against Jovic is to force the ball out of his hands and also put him in early foul trouble.

oh no...if we reach the finals (hoping) and its looking like nuggs is going already, who would have the unenviable task guarding jokic???

3 years $33 million for Tucker into his 41st birthday, and a lot of people were angry at the Heat for not spending the money. It wouldn’t have been worth it. His stat line was 4/4/1/39% 3p%. Yes, I know, the intangibles. Martin 10/5/2/36% 3p% for $21 million. Big difference. And Tucker is fishing 😆.

Crowder...ditto. "To everything there is a season..." They served their purposes and almost got us all the way there. They had good seasons and got better offers. No harm...no foul. They took the money. Now they may be missing out on the glory.

This year's underdog group of overachievers will be remembered for a long, long time. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but... can an 8th seed with 9 undrafted players and three aging veterans on their roster make it to the NBA (F***ING) Finals? Are you f***ing kidding me? What if they do get there and fool around and win it all, you ask? Well then, then...fogedabowded!

GO HEAT!!!

A number of observations:

*As the article points out and what many of us have stated, is Martin’s contract might be one of the best values in the league.

*Strus and Vincent are helping themselves to better offers this offseason with their current level of play. Hopefully with us, but somewhere.

*Duncan has really helped himself. He’s let the national audience know ‘I’m still here and I still can play!’ In game 2, he was brilliant, with drives and cuts to the basket and, yikes, a few solid defensive plays. He, as SunMan pointed out, has made himself at least a potential trade chip for a team that needs a scorer. And if he stays here, he’s at least showing that he can contribute.

*Butler is proving that he and Jokic are the 2 best players in these playoffs.

*Spo is proving he is one of the very best coaches in the league. And, yes, it matters.

For this moment? Martin is doing a great job. But there’s a reason Herro is getting a huge contract that Martin may never get. He has more inherent talent.

stop it not true, mistakes are made in contracts sometimes out of desperation. ref whiteside jj.ty has half his athleticism.tys a volume shooter plays zero defense.one of the main reasons we are where we are is becuase ty aint playing.no weak links on d at end of games

Can’t prove a negative. I’ve told you that many times. We know what we’re doing without Herro, and it’s good. That’s fact. We absolutely don’t know what we would’ve done with Herro playing. It may have been worse, the same, or better. That’s opinion.

The best part is the energy he comes with. His body language says it all. No drama Martin is what I call him. When I watch him play, I kinda feel that his father Kevin Martin contributes immensely to boosting his confidence on the court.

Thankfully, Pat got the right Martin of the twins. Its going to be an interesting off season for the Heat specially if they win it all but I don't want to get ahead of myself. One game at a time. Caleb, keep doing what you do best and surprise us more. You are Miami's Martin!

ty pj for signing with phily.sometimes the moves u dont make are the best moves

Caleb was ballin. He was using his length to full advantage on those drives. Love to see him keep improving that and he can easily be a 20ppg scorer. And he was draining 3s on top of his always solid production on defense and hustle dept.

Caleb was huge in game 2. He singlehandedly kept us in the game during one of our cold stretches.

He definitely displays Heat Culture.

Keep shocking them Caleb. Good stuff from you.

If the Heat can re-sign Vincent and Strus for similar contracts this summer (3 years for $20k-ish), those would be good deals all the way around. If they can get more $ elsewhere, like PJ and Jae did, more power to them. They've worked hard and paid their dues. They deserve whatever they can get. Big Guac isn't quite there yet, but I hope Heat can keep him too on a reasonable contract. Glad to see Duncan getting playing time and producing results. He has definitely restored Spo's faith in his value and may attract interest in trade talks over the summer. The jury is still out on Herro. I can see him being packaged for a two-way power forward or two-way guard. Overall, Heat are in a good place.

P.S. I think the team is winning new fans by the day. Talk about an underdog/Cinderella story.

GO HEAT!!!

The stealing of Caleb from the hornets a few years ago was a typical Pat Riley move for us. Caleb along with our other undrafted dudes has paid huge dividends for our heat this season and last.So far in these playoffs our no names have grown and produced way beyond the expectance of our opponents thank u heat development team.go heaters beat the cheating Celtics in the next 2 games.

Riley didn't steal Caleb from Charlotte. Caleb played a limited role in Charlotte, averaging just over five points per game in his first two seasons. At the end of the 2020-21 campaign, he was released by the team. Rapper J. Cole put in a word with his friend, Heat Asst Coach Caron Butler about Caleb. The rest is history. See article attached. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/news/j-cole-caleb-martin-heat/n8cvo5gqvnozviek4lqy5xfm

Cool, hope J. Cole puts ina good word for Cody. We could use two of them. Hornets didn't know how to play both. But Spo a genius

Martin is again a shrewd signing by Pat Riely. He knows players and their worth. Retaining PJ would have been a good move but not for what Philly paid. You can have all the hustle and experience but end of the day you should also score a decent number.
