Refs cnt even stop Jimmy lol

Expand full comment

As proof that we’re not always paranoid about questionable calls against the Heat! This ref clearly upset that Butler scored! OUTRAGEOUS! League must investigate.

Expand full comment

They had 10 more FT’s then the Heat and that includes the end of game FT’s when they were fouling to stop the clock in the final minute.

Expand full comment

That’s what scares me in this series. They have to play to perfection to win if they continue to officiate like this.

Expand full comment

Let's hope and pray that they play so well to embarrass the officiating.

The 5 stages of losing to the Heat in the playoffs:

Denial: They can’t keep playing like this

Disbelief: How do they keep playing like this?

Anger: There’s no f’ing way they should be playing like this

Bargaining: They must’ve made a deal with a devil

Depression: Damn

Hey RC, is that the same Jnicho from back in the days we were following Dragic and the Suns?

Expand full comment

He’s a Tennessee guy. Loves UT and Josh Richardson.

Expand full comment

I assume so. He was here on HHH for at least several years. Stopped posting here about a year ago. Handle here was jnicho20, still is on Twitter. Good guy.

Expand full comment

His handle looks familiar from years ago.

Expand full comment

Jnicho still ‘got it’ !!

Funny!

Say hi from us here in HHH

Expand full comment

I wish I could. I can see some of his posts, but I’m not on Twitter. Hopefully he’ll stop by at some point.

Expand full comment

why is he not posting here anymore.seemed like a heat for lifer dude

Expand full comment

He still is a Heat lifer. I’m sorry he’s not posting here anymore. He has great insight.

Anyway, I’ll repost his Heat related comments here.

he must have done some coaching .knows the intricacies of the game i pretend to know

Some of Jimmy's interceptions last night were like Jalen Ramsey out there.

Just a smart and complete basketball player.

Our chances should be at least 4 percent now huh?

Expand full comment

We will lose, if our chances will climb over 3,5 %.

Se leave it there.

Expand full comment

iq of this team is very high lots of seasoned and savy vets big advantage for us.jimmy is the nikola jokic for us makes everybody better always makes the right play(except pulling up last year for that 3)

Expand full comment

ooh just saw the Mazzulla outburst video clip. throws the clipboard on the floor. what quarter was that? didnt get the result he's expecting i guess

Expand full comment

I think the TV timeout in the 3rd. He figured since he doesn't know how to make in-game adjustments he could take it out on that poor clipboard :P

Expand full comment

Yeah, he was a bit confused, being the youngest coach in the league. He thought you call time outs by slamming your clipboard to the ground as a way to alert the refs. If you want to take a double time out, you’re supposed to throw it at the ref’s head.

One thing I laughed at all season when the heat broadcast would mention it, was how playing in a ton of nail biters would help them come playoff time….and honestly it seems like it has.

The Bucks OT, the Knicks game 5, and last night. Even though Miami struggled to win games in the regular season consistently, they seem to know how to handle the pressure of big games. It’s crazy to see other teams wilting on these situations…guess when roughly 50% of your games are these situations you’ve prepared.

Expand full comment

A game for the ages.once again we stole game one on the opponents home court.Jimmy had told us all along that this is the year to win a ring.It is difficult not to listen to him.

Expand full comment

More bulletin board material...

"I know people like to give the playoff version of Jimmy Butler a lot of credit, but the idea that he's better than Tatum at this point in his career is not one I buy into. Miami is a low seed that had a good series against the Bucks, and people are giving them extra credit for their past success. Statistically, they don't belong on the same floor with the Celtics this year. 19th in SRS and 21st in Net Rating (via Basketball-Reference), versus, well... first and first....

...I still have way more faith in statistics and pure talent than I have in heart and grit and experience and whatever else people like to think determines game results. If the Celtics are the team they need to be to win the championship, they'll blow past the Heat in 5 games, max."

Celtics can definitely win this series its only one game but the disrespect. Just lmao

Expand full comment

Jimmy is significantly better than Tatum. Tatum got talent. But Jimmy got IQ. He's a healthy Kawhi. Jimmy can play anywhere on the floor. Tatum is easy. Just gimmick basketball. Jack up step back 3s and hope they go in.

Expand full comment

What a joke. Ends by talking about disrespect while totally disrespecting Butler and the Heat. What does the regular season have to do with these playoffs? NOTHING!

Expand full comment

Hey, where’d all of our posters go? Cmon people, more cowbell!! Oops, I mean comments!😀

Expand full comment

ok...wait...lol

Expand full comment

46 points in 3rd quarter is an unheat performance!

Expand full comment

Absolutely mind blowing! I didn’t even realize it until I looked after the quarter was over. Against one of the better defensive teams in the league.

Expand full comment

Boston play better after a loss and away than they do at home. They get excited at home with their fans and loose focus but while away there is none of the media highs and fans distraction, they get razor focused. So the danger is still there. I will feel comfortable with a 3-1 Heat's lead not even a clean 2-0 lead will make me feel comfortable.

Expand full comment

I agree the danger is still there. Celtics got the front running talent. But we ain't Philly, we don't roll over after a run.

Expand full comment

I’m only comfortable in that it’s all gravy from this point. The regular season had me expecting this group to get swept by the Bucks. Now they are in the ECF and stole home court. It went from a super disappointing season about a month ago, to a super exciting playoff run.

It’s all house money at this point.

Expand full comment

Agree 1000%!

Expand full comment

I agree. They didn’t get to this point by accident. They’re a talented group.

Expand full comment

So I guess when they lost to the Hawks first play-in game you were soooo uncomfortable? And Bulls leading in the fourth also next game? 😁

Expand full comment

I did not watch any of those games but to answer your question, the Hawks and Bulls are not the Celtics.

Expand full comment

The media narrative from the "expert analysts" has changed from the the Heat have 3% chance of winning to Kudos to the Heat culture and Coach Spo with 7 undrafted players.

Indeed, success brings many friends and defeat leaves you an orphan.

Expand full comment

Hope our troll the Celticspride understands that his dislike of Jimmy = Tatum analogy has gone to Jimmy > Tatum in game 1.

Expand full comment

don't worry, i went over to the Celtics Blog and congratulated them on winning 3 out 4 quarters

;-)

Expand full comment

Yeah he was taking shots before the series started. Ironically now he's like Tatum. Taking zero shots. Heyoooo :P

Expand full comment

He’s nowhere to be found at the moment, but he’ll pop up when/if we lose.

Expand full comment

So he'll pop up for one of the 5 games?

Expand full comment

lol.

Expand full comment

Yes, I noted that before, and after the game. He questioned why Celtics should be scared by #22. Now, maybe, he understands. Nobody is having a better postseason than Mr Jimmy

Butler.

Expand full comment

Yes, I read your previous comment. Where is he? Was he banished from HHH?

Expand full comment

No, we ban people for several different reasons, but just being an idiot isn’t one. 😂

Expand full comment

Celtics have way more talent. But as a team, we are just significantly better. Plus we get Jimmy Buckets

Expand full comment

I see our two strengths showed up and led us to the win. The first is playoff Jimmy, whose will to win can overcome any obstacle. The second strength is the subtle Miami Heat playoff defense factor. Because Boston is so good on offense, with so many options, it was hard to discern. But, Miami did get, by a combination of steals and forcing difficult shots, Boston to have maybe ten more empty possessions than they normally would have. That is how I believe we took this one.

But, I caution our fans, its far from over. We also had to hit our threes to make it happen. But, the formula of Playoff Heat defense and Playoff Jimmy is an avenue, when we hit our threes, to overcome a great Boston team.

Expand full comment

Certainly, those Heat's 3s felt like daggers to Boston.

Expand full comment

I saw a crazy stat - Heat have a .714 team win percentage thuu in a postseason when trailing by 10+ points. Rest of league is around .19

Good to know.
