Well Lillard just became available. I was wrong about how long it would take so no reason to listen to me but it seems like an all or nothing situation. We need to do what it takes with draft capital as we have no other better route and getting Lillard would be the most exciting thing possible.
You would think that, but not so sure about that. There front court is worst then ours, they got injury prone nurkic, and grant...that's it. Nobody else over 6'9, you ain't competing in the west with that unless they want a first round exit.
Looks like it. If I was GM, I would give up on Lillard now. There will only be scraps left by the time Lillard becomes available, if he ever does. And then, its a crapshoot to see who gets him. Both LA's, Philly, and Brooklyn could make offers, as well as some mystery team or teams. Some have more to offer. Its now a low percentage move to wait. We should forget about Lillard.
Problem is, there are few trades available as they hinge on taking salary back. Gotta hope for the best but I am growing ever more concerned. Things are not off to a great offseason.
Things were never going to be off to a great start considering they had no money, so that statement is very deceiving. Remember what Pat said. If a trade doesn't materialize then we are going to improve around the edges and not blow it all up. I think that's a smart play of Dame isn't getting traded. We still have Jovic who could be a unicorn. Highsmith will be in the rotation. Go get a 4 who can shoot and isn't crazy expensive, say Wagner or Saric with the $9. I personally think Spo would make Wagner a real player. Then go get a backup PG with the $4. Maybe see if you can get Bamba on a vet minimum and rebuild his value as well. Then next season Lowry's numbers come off the books and some solid FA's next year, better than this year.
I would add Jaxon Hayes and Jock Landale as guys who still have unrealized talent that could be had for the money the Heat now have with the trade exceptions. Hilariously every guy mentioned is ranked higher than Yurt but our board thinks Yurt is a current All Star ;)
Meh. He was a great player. He did a few nice things, took a few charges, made some outlet passes, but he did not shoot the three for a high percentage, and he was targeted on d. Someone has to say it as let's get real. This rah rah enthusiasm that is the standard on this thread, I understand why, but it can get disingenuous. I have to give my honest feelings. Richardson and Love don't move the needle much. Lot of work needed.
Hell yeah. I think Love will be a great addition to this roster over the next couple years. Frontcourt of Bam/Love/Caleb looks good. We're one big man away from being great.
ok 2qbn we got thomas bryant

Considering that Portland resigned Grant, it looks like more and more that Dame is staying there

At 34, my guess is that he will play limited minutes in case Heat make it to the play off next season.

He's the team's new inspirational veteran leader now that UD has retired. Not a bad guy off the bench either.

KLove with the outlet...Gabe with the finish! Sorry that's JRich lol
I’m okay with this. He had his moments
I like ur handle runitbackpatlol 😂
Love had some solid moments last year. In a meaningless game at the end, I believe he had 4 drawn charges in a game.
Maybe a full year with the team will lead to more consistent results, but either way another veteran for the squad.
