Really sad for this dude with all those injuries. But happy in a way our team gave Dipo a chance. Hope he can play again after recovery. Maybe not for the Heat anymore.

Only below average with the Heat. In the 9 years prior to that, he averaged about 18 ppg.

What are the odds he ever plays in the NBA again? Above or below 50/50?

I think he plays because he will want to prove to himself he can make it back. There will be a team that gives him a minimum salary next year to see if they hit on a lotto ticket. That being said, he's probably out of the league in 3 years, including this one coming up

yeah i agree that he's probably not playing this year.

I also don't have the numbers in front of me, but I know he missed an entire season before the Heat trade, and has missed almost every Heat season since. I think after all of these surgeries, his body just isn't going to be able to stand up to an entire NBA season.

Best case scenario, he starts playing after the trade deadline and can contribute off the bench in the playoffs.
