Milwaukee became the favorite in the Eastern Conference by trading Jrue to Portland for Dame. Now, after acquiring Jrue from Portland for Brogdon, Boston has become the favorite. If Miami acquires Brogdon from Portland (without giving up Herro), will that make Miami the favorite? Asking for a friend.

And Herro had some thoughts.

"I'm not going to say too much. I know my value," he told reporters. "I'm just excited to hoop. For the teams that didn't want me, that's on you. And the teams that do want me, you'll see why you want me."

When he was asked if he was excited to face the Blazers this season, Herro threw shade. "I'm ready to play the best. Portland ain't the best so I'm not worried about Portland."

Jimmy's hair is the center of attention on media day 😆😄

...not the off season drama! Love it!! Lol

Lowry didn't speak to the media. So everyone guessing it was Herro that was going to take the rumors the wrong way but maybe it's Lowry lol

I honestly don't care if holiday on the celtics, and I don't think they got better, sure they got a real pg now, but now there depth and bench is lackluster. Also for there center position they have to rely on injury prone porzingas, also old man horford.. whose older the the mazzula. BAM is gonna destroy them in the paint because there best big man, rim protector timelord isn't there anymore lol . Screw the Portland fans and organization. Everyone down on us again, and think we've gotten weaker, but miami heat will just prove them wrong again like always !

This team still needs playmaking and scoring, thats why it kinda stings that we didnt get either Dame(can provide scoring) or Jrue (playmaking). Anyway, i hope Lowry can be healthy, as hes the only true pg we have. Is Goran still available?

That was a really fun playoff run. Yeah sucks we didn't win, but it was a fun journey to watch the team embark on.

I'm gonna miss that group of guys.

When life gives you lemons...make lemonade.

It will be interesting to see what Riley does next. He has until the trade deadline to see what talent he already has in-house. Meanwhile, he should let the dust settle before making a move...unless a team makes him an offer he can't refuse.

To start the season Miami has plenty of depth. The initial issue will be playing time for our younger players. Hopefully, the five preseason games from October 10-20 against the Hornets, Spurs, Grizzlies, Nets and Rockets will give Riley/Spo a chance to see what they have, what they need and who is possibly expendable/tradeable. These players/positions are not written in stone.

PG: Herro, Lowry, Smith

SG: Richardson, DRobinson, Jaquez

SF: Butler, Martin, Cain

PF: Love, Highsmith, Jovic

C: Adebayo, ORobinson, Bryant

Note: The second game of the season is against the "new & improved" Boston Celtics on October 27th and the fourth game is against the "new & improved" Milwaukee Bucks on October 30th.

GO HEAT!!!

When we can’t get dame or Jrue, we go for Ellington.

What a sports year in SoFla! Marlins in the playoffs!?!? First time in 20 years! And don’t bother saying they have no chance. If you can’t feel the joy of this unlikely finish to the wild card, you need a, yes, reality check. 😀

Reggie Bullock getting bought out. Possible vet bench wing option at the minimum for insurance. Shot 38% from 3 last season.

This is a great addition. There probably aren't many players that were better at preparing to play even though they may not end up being sent out on the court. He was always ready. I hope he's able to pass on that knowledge, especially to the younger players like Jovic, Jacquez, Robinson, Cain and even Hampton, who I think gets converted to a standard.
